Thin Dense Chrome Plating
Metalife's Thin Dense Hard Chrome Plating is a proprietary process established in 1964. Our hard chrome plating is bonded at a molecular level and has a 100% guaranteed bond. Quality comes first with Metalife and our Hard Chrome plating tank is strictly regulated. Because of this our plating surface will be 99.4% pure as deposited. Our Thin Dense Chrome plating overcomes conventional hard chrome weaknesses which can lead to immediate failure.
Metal Restoration -Wet and dry blasting
Restore metal components to a lustrous silver satin finish. Our blasting process uses water and special media and will not damage the surface or affect the surface negatively. Dry blasting available with glass bead finish.
Advanced Polymer Chrome - MLP
Introducing MLP...an exclusive treatment combining our hard chrome plating with a proprietary polymer compound. The addition of a polymer compound heated until it flows into the cavities or "pores" in the nodular surface adds built-in lubrication. This is further enhanced by polishing the surface while the polymer is still fluid, resulting in a smoother, slippery finish that substantially reduces the heat and friction problems created in many applications. Unlike many other industrial plating's MLP hard chrome will not separate from the base metal. In addition, with a processing temperature of 195°F there will not be any affects on the tensile strength of your tooling or parts.
METALIFE FOR GUNS
Metalife Hard Chrome Firearm plating looks similar to stainless steel. It has an increased hardness value compared to standard hard chrome; however, it retains a remarkable amount of ductility and toughness. Our thin dense chrome looks amazing but wears and protects even better.
